Job Title: Forklift Operator (Metal Fabrication) Location: Atlanta, GA Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday – Friday) Pay: $18.00 per hour + Overtime (as needed)The Mission We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our metal fabrication team. In this role, you aren't just a driver—you are the heartbeat of the shop. You’ll be responsible for moving raw steel, aluminum, and finished fabricated parts to keep our production lines running smoothly.What You’ll Be Doing Heavy Metal Handling: Transport large steel plates, tubing, coils, and structural beams through the fabrication floor. Production Support: Ensure welders, laser operators, and fabricators have the materials they need, exactly when they need them. Loading/Unloading: Safely load and unload flatbeds and freight carriers. You must be comfortable with "unbalanced" or oversized loads. Daily Maintenance: Conduct pre-shift inspections on equipment to ensure hydraulics and tires are ready for heavy-duty work. Organization: Keep the yard and warehouse organized to prevent bottlenecks and safety hazards. Requirements Experience: 2+ years of forklift experience (Sit-down preferred). Experience in metal, timber, or heavy industrial environments is a major plus. Punctuality: Our shop starts moving at 7:00 AM sharp. We need someone who is ready to go at the whistle. Flexibility: While we aim for a 4:00 PM finish, you must be willing to stay for Overtime when production deadlines require it. The "Eye": Ability to judge load weights and centers of gravity—metal doesn't always sit flat on a pallet! Certification: Valid Forklift Certification (or ability to pass our internal safety test). Safety & Gear PPE Required: Steel-toed boots are mandatory. Safety First: We have a zero-tolerance policy for "cowboy" driving. In a metal shop, safety is the only priority. Why Join Us?
