We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Accountant to join our growing team in Dallas, Tx. You will work with a dynamic and collaborative team and have the opportunity to manage accounting across multiple high-profile projects and asset types. In this role, you will support our full-cycle development and property accounting functions. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in ERP accounting systems (Sage 300 or Sage Intacct preferred) is required. This is a hybrid opportunity, with 1-2 days working from home. Prepare financial statements, including balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany eliminations. Review and approve progress invoices for construction/development projects, ensuring compliance with job cost accounting procedures. Prepare and review project job cost summaries to track the status of construction and development properties. Set up commitment trackers and input pay applications into the job cost system. Track compliance for certificates of insurance (COI) and lien waivers from vendors, tenants, and partners. Conduct monthly reviews of the general ledger for accuracy and completeness. Record equity pick-ups, contributions, distributions, and minority interest eliminations for joint-venture investments. Review leases, contracts, and legal documents to ensure compliance with accounting and risk management policies. Analyze financial reports from third-party property managers on managed portfolio assets. Review monthly draw packages, capital calls, and financial reports received from joint ventures. Participate in weekly meetings with project managers, property managers, and other key team members. Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation for book and tax purposes. Prepare budgets and financial forecasts on both an accrual and cash basis. Collaborate with tax teams to ensure compliance and proper reporting. Support ad hoc requests and special projects as needed.
