The accounting clerk is responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, making collections calls and securing revenue by monitoring accounts receivable aging. This position is also responsible for managing matching, reconciling and posting of bills and invoices from vendors of the company and ensuring all transactions are documented and stored appropriately. Match, reconcile differences and code / enter vendor invoices and expenses. Ensure vendors are charging accurately as per the PO, highlight and resolve discrepancies. Setup new Vendors / Contractors, ensure availability of W9 / WSIB Certificate is on file. Review AR aging and make collection calls as necessary, report and escalate problem customer. Ensure accuracy of the general ledger for functions performed. Ensure that all payments are made in accordance with company policy. File and maintain secure up to date records and required documentation.
