job summary: Field Service Technician needed for a leading manufacturer of complex industrial equipment. In this role you will travel to customer sites to install, start up, troubleshoot and repair new and existing equipment. Your home base can be anywhere in the US preferably close to a major airport. Travel is 80-90% with most weekends off. This role is paid hourly with time and a half for overtime, and triple time for any holiday worked! location: remote, Wisconsin job type: Permanent salary: $72,000 - 85,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: High School responsibilities: 80-90 percent travel to customer sites performing installation, start-up, troubleshooting and repair of complex industrial equipmentKnowledge of temperature control system, start-up, and debugging processesExperience with Program Logic Controls (PLC), operator interface, communications, and frequency programming and debugging processes.Read technical drawings, reports, and work instructions.Conduct uniformity testing on equipment.Perform electrical troubleshooting.Perform gas, water, and air troubleshooting.Perform Program Logic Control (PLC), operator interface, communication, and frequency drive programming and debugging.Perform mechanical assembly, working with a variety of mild steel, stainless steel, structural angle, channel, and tubing.Set up, fit, and position weldments, having a number of parts.
