We’re seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join a dynamic team in the maritime and logistics industry. This hybrid position is based in Dania Beach, FL, with remote work available on Fridays. The ideal candidate brings a detail-oriented mindset, accounting fundamentals, and a desire to grow within a complex operational environment.What You’ll Do: As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting duties with a focus on vessel- and company-level reporting. You’ll play a key role in the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations for cash, prepaid expenses, purchase order accruals, and payroll. Your day-to-day will also include: Performing monthly reconciliations and ensuring all accounts are properly supported and documented Analyzing actual vs. forecast and prior period results to validate accuracy and identify trends Collaborating with operations teams to obtain insight into variances or irregularities in spending Assisting in preparing weekly cash flow forecasts to support business operations Supporting the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasts Preparing schedules for internal and external audits Maintaining accounting controls and supporting compliance with GAAP This is a collaborative position with exposure to cross-functional teams, providing visibility into both operational and financial areas of the business.
